Furniture is one of the things that are hard to pack and move. They come in a lot of sizes and shapes and are very hard to handle. Care should be taken while moving furniture. Packing furniture can be done in custom made boxes. Finding large boxes to fit in furniture is not easy. Thus, custom boxes are the best option. Packing makes it compact and hence can be used for easy transport of furniture. One tip for furniture moving and packing is to take the furniture apart, if possible, and carry the parts in different boxes. This will reduce the load and make it easier for handling. An example is to disassemble the drawers and pack separately.

Heavier furniture like beds etc. can be packed in large wooden boxes and can be carried. Bubble wrap is another material that is commonly used in furniture moving and packing. Bubble wrap can be used extensively to cover large areas. These will act as a cushion to protect the furniture while moving and drastically reduce the risk of damage to the furniture. While packing, furniture can be wrapped in bubble wrap and can be packed in large boxes.

Make sure to empty the furniture before it is packed. It should be as light as possible, so that it can be carried around easily. Using the proper wrap is also important so as to protect the furniture. Apart from bubble wrap, special wraps that will protect from rips, stains and moisture can also be used. If it is too heavy, a dolly can be used to get it to the truck. Hooks can also serve the same purpose.
